Non-Destructive InspectionNondestructive Inspection

We perform nondestructive inspection (NDI) in compliance with NAS410, the U.S. aerospace standard. Our experienced inspectors are qualified to Levels 1, 2, and 3, and conduct NDI for many types of aircraft, including business jets, helicopters, and small aircraft.
Using a portable X-ray generator, we can handle all types of X-ray inspections related to aircraft, including airframe structures, large components, composite materials, internal component structures, and wire break checks.
As a bonding inspection, we can perform adhesion delamination inspections on metals and composites as well as post-repair soundness confirmation tests. Our probes support all types of normal beam and angle beam inspections.
We can perform surface flaw detection using high frequencies, subsurface flaw detection using low frequencies, and bolt hole inspection of metal structural components. We can also inspect material changes due to lightning strikes and wear.
For on-aircraft inspections, solvent-removable fluorescent penetrant inspection is available. For components brought into the shop, water-washable and post-emulsifiable fluorescent penetrant inspections are available.
Using a portable yoke-type magnetic particle inspection device, we can inspect ferromagnetic materials up to 6 inches wide. In addition to on-aircraft inspections using AC100V power, we can also inspect large components by bringing them into our facility.
Using a borescope, we can inspect the interior of engines and airframe structures. The tip of the insertion section can move more than 90° in all four directions, and video, still images, and measurement results can be recorded.
We provide on-the-job training (OJT) in fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) to support qualification and certification of inspectors engaged in NAS410-compliant NDI. Trainees can gain more practical experience by performing nondestructive inspections on a variety of components removed from aircraft.
