January 1983: Established Japan Airlines Aircraft Painting Co., Ltd., the predecessor of JAL Tokyo Aircraft Maintenance Co., Ltd.

April 1988: Established JAL Aviation Maintenance Co., Ltd., the predecessor of JAL Aircraft Maintenance Narita Co., Ltd.

July 1988: Established Nippon Avionics Co., Ltd., one of the predecessors of JAL Avitech Co., Ltd.

October 1988: Established JAL (Nikkō) Engine Technology Co., Ltd., the predecessor of JAL Engine Technology Co., Ltd.

June 1990: Established JAL Component Technology Co., Ltd., one of the predecessors of JAL Avitech Co., Ltd.

October 2000: Merged JAL Avionics Co., Ltd. and JAL Component Technology Co., Ltd. to form JAL Avitech Co., Ltd.

April 2006: Fully transferred the maintenance and repair of aircraft parts such as electrical/electronic/mechanical components, landing gear, and structural parts from the Component Division of Japan Airlines International Co., Ltd. to JAL Avitech Co., Ltd.

April 2006: Fully transferred the maintenance and repair of engines and engine components from the Engine Division of Japan Airlines International Co., Ltd. to JAL Engine Technology Co., Ltd.

April 2007: Fully transferred the field maintenance divisions for aircraft at Narita Airport and Kansai International Airport from the Narita Maintenance Division of Japan Airlines International Co., Ltd. to JAL Narita Aircraft Maintenance Co., Ltd.

October 2009: Integrated four companies such as JAL Narita Aircraft Maintenance Co., Ltd., JAL Tokyo Aircraft Maintenance Co., Ltd., JAL Engine Technology Co., Ltd., and JAL Avitech Co., Ltd. Additionally, established JAL Engineering Co., Ltd. by transferring the field aircraft maintenance divisions at domestic airports including Haneda and most indirect functions from the Maintenance Headquarters of Japan Airlines International Co., Ltd.

July 2012: Began contracted maintenance services for Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd.

April 2016: Established Osaka Aircraft Maintenance Center at Osaka Itami Airport after integrating the maintenance division of J-Air Co., Ltd., and began contracted management services for maintenance operations of J-Air Co., Ltd.

June 2018: Began contracted management services for the maintenance operations of SPRING JAPAN Co., Ltd.

January 2019: Began contracted maintenance services for Fuji Dream Airlines Co., Ltd.

December 2019: Began contracted management services for the maintenance operations of ZIPAIR Tokyo Co., Ltd.

November 2023: Began contracted maintenance services for Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd.'s Airbus A321ceo P2F dedicated freighters (operated by SPRING JAPAN Co., Ltd.)
